Usually when I'm baking brownies, it would be a social affair, so I'd make a big pan. But this weekend, it was just me. That's a lot of pot to reach the right level of potency in one or two brownies. And let's be honest, if there's a whole pan - when the munchies kick in, I'll end up eating the whole thing anyway.
So along comes 'Warm Delights' the portion control dessert product pitched for single professional ladies. This is a really exciting breakthrough in pot browies for the same two reasons this appeals to the single gals: 1) it's wicked easy and very quick 2) portion control means you're economizing on the pot.
Here's how you can bake the perfect pot brownies for one or two people:
1) Crumble or chop the weed into a saucepan and cook with about a tablespoon of butter or veg. oil (butter is better). You want to sautee it on very low heat until it releases that distinctive odor and turns light brown and is crispy to the touch (watch your fingers!). Keep stirring the pot pot - DO NOT BURN IT!
2) Empty the mix into the plastic bowl they include. Pour the hot butter over the mountain of chocolate powder and start to mix it in with a spoon. It will be very thick. You will need to add a little water at a time until it mixes into a smooth batter (like the traditional brownie mix you know and love).
3) Microwave for just 45 seconds. Ah sweet sweet technology. No pre-heating. No waiting. And voila!
4) Then you can fancy it up by squeezing on the chocolate frosting.
5) Eat it.
6) Wait 20-30 minutes and SURPRISE you're easy baked!

Update: June 2012

I just stumbled on this post several years after forgetting about the blog entirely. I am happy it is still up on the web. But I'm shocked to realize this particular post has over 30,000 views - not to mention a whole lot of really helpful comments. If even a small percentage of you people who have viewed this page get yourselves Easy Baked as a result, I'm so happy to have helped!!!
A few of my own opinions in response to the comments:
For me, the dosage in a brownie is about the same as I would smoke to get the result I want. If the weed is really potent, I use less, like a bowl. You can see the size nodule I used in the top picture. That's about a gram of potent weed, and the brownie was a very strong high.
If I'm using outdoor weed of the sort I'd probably smoke most of a joint over an evening - I use that much. I don't want to eat more than one brownie in an evening. I might start with half and eat the other half later.
Baking is like science, you can keep track of how much you use and how long things take in your microwave. Next time, vary your inputs. From my experience, my digestive fullness has a big influence on how quickly I metabolize the weed. If I eat a brownie on a relatively empty stomach, it kicks in much faster and has a bigger impact. So even though you might be tempted to save the brownie for dessert... you'd be better off starting with it.
I recommend cooking your weed a bit in butter or oil. Don't skip that step. That's the slow controlled heating when you're going to activate the psychoactive junk. The quick heating in the microwave acts primarily on the water molecules. Steam bubbles in the batter and cooks the cake. The quick microwave blast doesn't cover you for activating the cannabis.
Eating is preferable to smoking in a lot of situations:
- For people with breathing problems
- On airplanes (finish before security)
- If you're a teenager living in a city
- Family dinners
- Dormitories
- Movies (so you're not most high during the previews)
Enjoy and let me know how it goes :)

Boy, that made baking easy!
Thanks easy pot!
I mean thanks Betty Crocker for making baking me so easy!
Thanks pot!
Awesome idea! But you never said how much pot to use for the one serving??
you can just eye out the amount of pot used is on the first picture (on top of the box).
Wow! ... i tried this for the first time and it worked like a charm.
In a pan i put in a little over 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil. i heated it up to about 5 on the stove and waited til the herb was kinda brownish while simmering.
i sifted out the marijuana with a strainer into two warm delights and ate them.
i ate them at 1pm and im baked at 317.
if you love warm delights and pot, this recipe is for you.
wow, that warm delight destroyed me!
this saved me from having to bake an entire 1/4!
by the way, i have read that fats like butter, olive oil, and vegetable oil change their molecular structures when they reach too high of a temperature, and this is supposed to effect the THC molecule as well, and this can affect your high. TIP: coconut oil holds over MUCH better under high temperatures. Canola oil is OK, but coconut oil is the shit compared to other cooking/baking fats.
thanks for this recipe! it saved me a lot of weed!
Is two teaspoons of oil (or butter) enough to cover the ground up weed?? It seems like so little..
Lets smoke the weed instead call me old school
im thinking about making this for my girlfriend (she cant inhale smoke due to sports) she is a first timer how much would you recomend for her? i smoke all the time and she feels left out
As much as you can get like buy 2 of the easy bakes and buy a 1/4 and have fun with your girl
would 1 gram of very potent stuff be enough to use?
ohh, my grand mother usually like to cook brownies in the oven, but i will tell her cooking in the microwave is really easy
to answer all of your many questions & comments: the amount eyed out appears to be a solid amount around 1g, which is perfect for 1 person... Also, use the amount of butter called-for in the recipe (subtitute butter for oil/water if there isn't any in recipe, or look for alternate/non-low-fat directions), and simply simmer it on medium-low for as long as it takes to activate(stirring constantly is ideal), then pour the butter w/ all material right into the mix, straining it will make it taste better or less altered taste, but will lower potency (if you strain it, use the butter not the brown stuff, and you may find next time you need more butter). Also, for an inexperienced user, perhaps start with half-a-g and work to 1g, for more experienced users start with 1g and work to 1.5 or 2-3g, but be VERY careful as its 99% efficient this way, smoking is 27% max, is more like vaporization technique, overdose IS possible with cooking, although it wont kill you, it can hurt you and make you violently ill (think exorcist projectile vomit if you used 1g of hash-browns instead of buddha) & teach you a lesson youll never forget (think of your worst hangover times two & you get the idea)... also for experienced vapers, the consistency of the 'material' should be just like a vape when its crispy & done, except all your 'mist' will be in the butter/oil. hope this helps you all, feel free to sticky up top!!! ;-)
so I just made 6 warm delight mini chocolate cakes for Hubby and I's river tubing trip tomorrow, I hope they work!!! Well actually we'll have 5 cuz I had to try one, I ate it about 30 min ago and am patiently waiting!!!
Complete waste of time!
I used 2 good sized nugs and carefully followed the directions and I got nothing!
Sounded like an amazing idea!
What am I doing wrong??
WE just grind it up and add it to the flour mixture, then mix it with the liquids. Bake it 350 - 25 minutes.
It's all in the butter. If you don't get any effects off of it, you probably didn't cook the butter right. Trial and error, you'll get it.
Pro tip; instead of baking the butter in a pan (effectively fucking your weed up) you instead fill the pan with water and cook it. You then place a bowl in the water and throw in some butter. The butter melts and then you throw your weed in (hasj works better but it depends where you live if you can get some decent stuff). Heat through for like 5-10 minutes and use it to bake your pastry (and yourself)! Enjoy!
Would this be something that smells the place up? Im thinking about doing this in my dorm and idk if its gunna stank the place up
You can actually just crush the weed into a fine powder and then mix it in with the water and flour. Then bake it. Split a one g one with my mate and worked like a charm.
smoking old school?
people ate weed off the ground way before they knew smoking it got them high.
humans have been around for many years.
How long do you cook the butter? The instructions call to cook it until it releases a smell.... How vague. Any more detailed instructions? 10 minutes? Until it reaches a specific color or consistency? What?
Tried three times and can't get it to work. Last time used three times as much I would use if I smoked it. Followed directions. Cooked in butter at low heat for about 35 minutes and then added it to brownie mix (warm delights) and let it sit for two minutes after it came out of the microwave. Ate the brownie and absolutely no effect. Need to lean this as I must stop smoking. Every writing makes it seem so easy but....what am I doing wrong. Wasting a lot of good pot trying. PLEASE HELP!!!
THIS. WORKED. BEAUTIFULLY. i mean, maybe not, like i'm not totally sure I did it the way I was supposed to, but nonetheless I'M SO FUCKING HIGH RIGHT NOW. this was my first time making pot brownies so I wanted something easy that wouldn't waste a ton of bud if I did it wrong. I actually almost can't believe this worked. The brownie wasn't bad at first, maybe even kinda good, but i couldn't even finish the thing cause I felt like I was gonna throw up. But that might be because I had to use like 3.5 tablespoons of butter even though it only called for 2. But whatever, this shit got me baked so I'm happy.
Cant u just use regular brownie mix? And not just warm delights
Tried above directions but used the mini warm delights and 2 TBS butter. It melted a hole in the plastic container in the microwave at 25 seconds.
Thanks so much. I tried making one of these as a pot brownie without the butter melting step and got nothing so I'll be trying this method.
Another way to quick-bake some individual brownies, without the hydrogenated oils...
Combine finely ground weed with No-Pudge! Brownie Mix powder in a microwave-safe custard bowl or teacup. Add full fat, cream-top yogurt (ie Brown Cow's vanilla yogurt) to the mix and stir until you have brownie batter. Microwave for 45-60 seconds for one serving. Instant brownie goodness.
Ratios:
2 tbsp brownie mix
1 tbsp yogurt
Maybe a bowl's worth of weed - use your own judgement/experience here
Note: I'm willing to bet it works better when including the OP's butter method than when just microwaving the weed into full-fat yogurt. Putting herb into the microwave doesn't destroy the active compounds unless, as with any other method, you overcook it.
WOW this is AMAZING! im stoned just from cooking it and inhaling the vapors...lol
can somebody please advise how much hashish to use in how much butter for 1/2 kg or 1 kg cake
thanks!!!
if i cook it at night at home? will the heating of butter linger around for long for my family to figure it out?
Try a microwavable safe bowl
Is butter a no no at your house?
Would have been nice if you had taken the time to answer the questions here. Guess there's no point in asking you mine.
This guy gets it ^^
If I am strictly using a microwave (having to stay in a hotel without a stove) can I cook the bud with the butter or oil in there?
You might try peanut butter to cover the odors created while cooking butter with weed. 1-I've had mixed results cooking the butter/weed/pb in a bowl(with a loose top) in the microwave: A few to many short cooking times is preferred so you can check on the progress. 2-Use the above mentioned small portion product OR mix in ANY brownie mix, just alter the amount of the additional ingredients and scale down the amount of mix to create a smaller portion. (If you're not high yet the math shouldn't be too hard). Store the unused portion of brownie mix for the next batch;). Stir the cooked weed butter into the brownie mix(amount scaled down to size) and then pour into a shallow microwave safe bowl lined with parchment paper and nuke...again small periods of time(around 3 minutes) to check on progress until you figure it out. Keep in mind when nuking is finished there is still baking going on in your brownies. *-You can add other ingredients to mask the pot's chewiness like shaved coconut and walnuts, etc...get creative. It's fun:) and can be fast. I made a stellar batch in a hurry like 15 minutes to take to the Sunshine Music Festival. Not perfect but did the trick. Happy 420 to all.
Does this really work and what if you used 1g of loud
Amazing nice work. This is very useful article. Thank you. For more
I've had a chest cold all week and couldn't smoke, so I searched and found this blog.
Tried it with a different brand of microwave brownie. Followed the instructions, and the brownie came out great. Thanks for the tip about sauteing in butter.
